Create have been working continuously with Ascential PLC and have completed multiple projects at their West End offices in the iconic AirW1 building in London Piccadilly.

This office is home to Planet Retail, De Havilland and WGSN, some of the twenty- four Ascential brands. These world-class digital and information services, specialising in the retail, infrastructure and the creative sectors provide the data, insight and expertise their clients need to stay ahead of the game.

An environment and location to attract the best people to work for them was the key original driver for the business to relocate to this building. The space designed responds to the client’s brief by providing a warm and comfortable environment delivered within very tight timescales and cost constraints. The dynamic use of angles creates a series of interesting spaces which form the client collaboration zones while the original architecture of the existing building creates an inspiring hub for staff to relax, interact and work throughout the day.

Following a partial sublet phase 2 of the development at Air Street included the development of a new formal reception, this has helped to integrate the space and different parts of the business, which has recently become a PLC

The new reception area uses the new Ascential brand and develops this into a warm and inviting reception space for visitors to the West End office. The timber floor and soft palette complement the building angles and architecture whilst a view through the atrium and walkway arrival point add further interest.

The design has helped to reinforce the branding through subtle use of the brand accent colours offset in a neutral warm palette, which in turn, has helped to reinforce the new identify as an independent company to staff and visitors. As part of these and other works for Ascential, Create have developed a Design Standards Document to help unify the New Ascential Brand Worldwide.
